World
This section contains broad-category information about the world of Anoth Peras. Directly below are links to articles that were too large to be included on this main page; the rest of the world data is appended directly after that.

  • Herbs & Plants A guide to vegetable life, both beneficial and baneful.
  • Metals & Minerals A review of the stone, metal and mineral materials available and their applications.

Anoth Peras
Anoth Peras - often called simply Ano - is the planet that circles the star Astas, and which is in turn circled by the moon Iiyanara. At one point it was inhabited by a race known only as the First, who wielded nearly-unimaginable power to shape Anoth around themselves. The capital city of the First was the fortress-like Temprus, a great bastion of cut stone thought proof against any attack.

Thousands of years later Anoth Peras would be colonized by the four races - the race of Men, from where the human and halflings hail; the race of Stia?, from which come the elves and their kin; the race of Faalil?, to which the fairy-folk claim parentage; and finally the race of Drurardt?, encompassing the trolls, orcfolk, Kobold and other assorted bestial races. The Demons inhabit Anoth as well, although with nowhere near the alacrity with which they saturate Hell.

Population
The known world contains approximately 396,000,000 sentient creatures, including nonhumanoid life. The racial breakdown is as follows:

Race............%....(Approx. Pop)
Human:....28 %....(110,880,000)
Elf:..........8 %......(316,80000)
Half-Elf:...17 %.....(67,320,000)
Halfling:...12 %.....(475,200,00)
Dwarf:......5 %......(19.800.000)
Dragon:....0.00007 %...(300)
Other:....29.02 %...(114,919,200)

Other encompasses most of the savage races, including Kobolds, Orcs, Goblins, Hobgoblins, Bugbears, and so-forth. Not factored in are naturalized demons, devils, constructs, outsiders, spirits and the undead; the reasoning behind this noninclusion should be obvious.

Cultural Age
The humanoid culture has existed continuously for at least six thousand years of recorded history. Before that, written communication was either not extant or performed upon mediums too transitive to survive the ages. In all likelihood, civilization of any sort has only existed for a maximum of ten thousand years - although this is speculative.
