Tsuruku is a nation of moderate size occupying the continent of Isenna. Founded in 743OD as North Pakao by Pakao's? conquest of central Runne, Tsuruki is a nation whose economy is based upon mining and production of arms. Lacking the open land to develop extensive farmland and surrounded by unfriendly lands, Tsuruki is largely supported via shipping links with Keiruki to the south.

Anki is the most prevalent language in Tsuruku.





Tsuruku's government is that of a theological monarchy; it is taught that the ruler (who is called the Imperator, by tradition) is blessed by Tesrem himself, and that any who oppose the Imperator is a heretic.

In 892OD, the uppermost portion of Tsuruku defected to Runne, breaking the wedge driven down Runne's center and allowing land-based commerce to continue between the Eastland Confederation? and Tuvia.

Serving as little more than a remote platform for Keiruki to land troops and launch skirmish parties, Tsuruku does not provide an exceptionally high quality of life to its inhabitants. However civil liberties, while limited, are not crushing; it is not a significantly less pleasant place to live than the rest of Runne.

Tsuruku has a higher quota of elves and dwarves than Runne; in addition, most citizens tend to have dark hair and oddly-shaped eyes, although this is by no means universal.
