Tirtha
TirthaTirtha was a nation that encompassed the entirety of Isenna, including the lands that would later become Tsuruku, as well as all of the Four Islands. Tirtha was founded in 1GB by the warrior-king Caras, who banded the warring feudal tribes of Khime into a cohesive and central kingdom. Almost immediately, Tirtha was besieged by Pakaori forces, as Pakao was feeling the strain of attempting to expand without sufficient territory. Tirtha's military strength prevailed, however, for some time. Sixty-seven years after Tirtha's founding, Caras King died in his sleep. His nation wept for nine days, such was their devotion to him; Afterward, he was anointed the Golden King in honour of his just-but-ruthless rule. A year later his son, Beren, was crowned King and carried on his father's legacy. For nearly eleven centuries, Caras' descendants led Tirtha, and it was called the Age of the Golden Kings. Pakao continued to assault Tirtha throughout this time, until finally - in 1096GB - a Pakaori assassin murdered the 43rd Golden King, Siun, and Tirtha fell. Temprus, Tirtha's capitol, refused to surrender and was burned to the ground. Under Pakaori rule, Tirtha was renamed Secila and placed under the control of Imperator Preris Corvari. Datekeeping changed as well, switching from Gras Borom? to Felis Quiti? (although after the fall of Pakaori rule, this time was referred to as Trasi Lacunum?, the Dark Age.) Although Tirtha is long gone, its legacy continues; Many bards tell hushed stories about the Golden Kings, and their legend.
