Timekeeping
TimekeepingThe Anoth year is divided into thirteen months of 24 days apiece, for a year that is 312 days long. Each year is reckoned from the first of autumn, for with harvest life begins anew. The months are as follows, with autumn in brown, winter in blue, spring in green, and summer in yellow. Ainduir Cernduir Annarath Argolath Friochbandt Achanweigh Estmarch Nauschain Brechnact Ainbenr Twainduir Marnsrath Ardonleigh This calendar - known informally as the King's Reckoning - was created and first adopted in the kingdom of Weiss? in 477TL, although the month-names had been used informally for at least five hundred years prior. Most nations rely on the calendar today, although different lands obviously experience the seasons at staggered times. Each week is six days long, and there are four weeks to each month. Although the individual weeks do not bear names of their own, certain holidays span the entirety of a given week. Each day is 24 hours long, and begins at dawn. The days are as follows: Firday Nirday Lumiday Ciarnday Coday Skalday Skalday is typically a day for rest and the closure of businesses; it is a matter of practicality, as places of commerce must be cleaned and rest must occasionally be taken. A great number of holidays exist amongst the people of Anoth Peras; a selection of these are featured below, although it is not complete.
