Notable Metals, Stones & Minerals of Anoth

Antium

A lustrous green material that is a naturally-occuring mixture of hard silicon and tektite, with flecks of green-oxidized iron suspended inside. Can be worked by skilled craftsmen to create objects of great beauty such as sculpture, dishes and (occasionally) decorative fittings or filigree.

Blacksteel

A blend of Angdumar and Orodrasi iron, further alloyed with Carbon and Vanadium.

Canaverum

A brittle, gray metal that cannot be polished to any particular sheen. Canaverum is often used in scientific instruments due to the relative ease with which it is purified and worked, and thus the ease with which a part of a specific weight and density may be produced.

Lumetine

A soft, pliable metal of silvery-orange hue, which glows as if heated from within, and which is typically warmer than the ambient temperature by several degrees. Emits magical radiation, and can be used to offset brittleness in certain other metals via alloy.

Merian

A pale, reddish metal, Merian is alchemically? derived from steel. Its properties include greater keenness, increased durability, and increased conduction of electricity.

Merian is often alloyed further with Antimony to make metals which are less fragile in extreme cold.

Nojovone

A nearly-black stone produced by smelting Jaspetite with carbon, Nojovone is very durable and can be used for numerous types of construction.

Jaspetite

A hard and porus stone, Jaspetite is nonetheless very heavy.

Kaolom

A green, semi-opaque precious stone which is difficult to cut satisfactorily. Most Kaolom is instead polished into rounded shapes, giving it the appearance of frosted, green glass.

Valarite

A slightly-translucent, blue stone that glows bright bluish-white. Little is known about Valarite, as it does not exist in any notable quantity - only that it serves in some way as a catalyst to magic.

Valarite is categorized as a major Arcanocendiary?.
