Notable events in Mithican history

This page contains a general timeline of events occuring in Mithican history, although it does not list events which occured outside the scope of mortal knowledge.

The timeline spans three ages, roughly defined by the occasional change in reckoning of years. The three eras are counted as follows:

OD - Ost Dracorum, after the fall of the Kimeran empire
TL - Trasi Lacunum, the dark Age
GB - Gras Borom, great Age of the Golden Kings
PL - Pelin Lans, the early years of Eryar? civilization. Note that PL dates are given as the number of years before start of Gras Borom.
FA - The First Age, of which little is known. Similarly, dates are given as the number of years before start of Pelin Lans.

The Year length remains constant through each age, although months and days likely carried different names. This, however, is immaterial.

c. 260FA - The nation of Mithica founded in Runne (then known only as Mithica.) Temprus founded. The Deeper Well? is opened.
c. 200FA - The Faundarschardt forged in the Deeper Well.
c. 110FA - The Quisling born.
c. 125FA - Mithica destroyed, surviving First leave Anoth Peras en masse.
c. 2800PL - Temprus inhabited by first of the Eryar peoples.
c. 2525PL - The Eryar fill Temprus to capacity; begin to build into surrounding countryside.
c. 2200PL - The Eryar spread to other continents, and begin to populate Anoth.
c. 1700PL - The Eryar as a race no longer exist, having diversified greatly under the differing conditions of the various parts of the world.
c. 1200PL - The tribes no longer live in peace, killing and raiding to increase their holdings.
1GB - Caras conquers Tirtha and crowns himself King
12GB - Tirtha marks its entry into a new age of prosperity
47GB - Pakao's? surprise attack against Tirtha is repulsed, partially due to the split of Keiruki from Pakao; years of civil war between Pakao and Tsuruku begins
53GB - Keiruki wins its war for independance
67GB - Caras dies, is posthumously titled Golden King by the people
68GB - Caras' son Baren is crowned King and continues his father's great legacy
672GB - After many years of deteriorating relations, Pakao once again launches an assault against Tirtha and is once more rebuked
1094GB - Pakao assassinates Tirtha's43rd Golden King, Siun.
1096GB - Bereft of leadership, Tirtha falls to Pakao. The city of Temprus falls.
1100GB - Reckoning by Gras Borom abandoned; Felis Quiti (Mithic for Wise Age) is new date-standard. Most historians refer to this period as Trasi Lacunum.
1TL - Peris Covari is appointed Imperator of Tirtha by the Pakaori military council
13TL - Cien is razed; temple sinks into sea before it can be captured
27TL - Tirtha is renamed Secila?
304TL - The Calari? vanish from Secila as the Imperators settle in to a millenia-long reign-by-oppression
1622TL - Tamera founded in Teidris?
2841TL - Barbarian uprising near Telera captures numerous cities
2872TL - Remlas leads the people of the western shore in a rebellion against Imperator Lucis and Pakaori control, and achieve an uneasy independance
2900TL - The Utei Luminaire is founded in Terane with fourteen knight-members
2923TL - Utei Luminaire grows to a total of 2,000 knights
2949TL - Remlas sends 723 knights Luminaire to Prali? to aid the Praelian resistance
2951TL - Ansica is founded on the continent of Tramnahr?
2955TL - Praeli is obliterated overnight by the Termus Ai?
2956TL - City Brilandwen becomes center of command for the war effort
2966TL - Through Brilandwen, the resistance liberates the eastern continent and the nation of Tuvia? is constituted
3499TL - 492 Luminaire are killed attempting to destroy the Termus Ai
3520TL - The great library of Eserion? burns to the ground
3522TL - The Utic Pernus is founded in Tuvia
3569TL - Utic Pernus reaches a membership of 2,000 knights
3974TL - Utei Luminaire & Uric Pernus assault the Termus Ai. It is destroyed, but both Knighthoods are decimated.
4000TL - Orcus? is born.
4025TL - Remlas & Tuvia begin the Endless War against Secila
4029TL - Toracroix founded in Teidris by the union of the Uthandt and Andtcroix tribes
4079TL - Orcus begins construction of a weapon to aid the Alliance?
4081TL - Ganduin vanishes in entirety.
4083TL - Orcus dies in a Secili raid; his magnum opus is lost, unfinished
4291TL - Secila falls; Imperator Tessis flees Berrokah?; Remlas, Brattok & Tascar join together as the Eastland Confederation
4295TL - Ost Dracorum begins
1OD Year of the Golden Thread - The Eastland Confederation, Tuvia, & Secila become Runne; Taesci is crowned King
119OD - The Great Fortresses? are built
127OD - Temprus' ruins are rediscovered, summarily re-abandoned in circumstances not fully understood
233OD - The Bazrâ Cetil kill untold thousands, but are killed to a man by Utei Luminaire
476OD - Pernic Legion enters guardianship of Tuvia
524OD - Archmage Tembris Ogden incarcerated for life in the depths of Eostheim Dungeon
629OD Year of the Rose - Eostheim falls to forces apparently from within; all roads leading to the fortress vanish and compasses become unreliable in the vicinity
743OD - Pakao strikes against Runne, taking the central column of Isenna as their own, names captured area Tsuruku
892OD - Baron Kelfast of northern Tsuruku wins dominion over a large portion of the land from Imperator Matazi in a game of dice; promptly swears allegiance to Runne, to Pakao's fury
922OD - Imperator Hazak assumes control over Tsuruku
1024OD Year of the Crushed Column - the Oracle at Aedwen falls silent; northern Tuvia is annexed as Eitar by Brilandweni government
1031OD - Dragonfen Isle is colonized via shipwreck
1222OD - The last of the Great Dragons passes away
1372OD Year of the Moth - Draemius Ferrin creates the Terapith Selu?, with Anchartha's help, and so begins Ferrin's War. The Egg of Orcus is released into the netherwind by Kerra Zaygreen and the Terapithe Selu queen crushed under a stone pillar by the zombified corpse of Tallon Whitewood.
1399OD The Cross of Changes - Three of the four Scions are awakened, the god Tanos brought into being by the Tanosiri of Politos. Death of God Ciarn at the hands of Tanos. Prior to this, the reawakened First was cast into Ern by the companions of Gribby Snatcher?.
1400OD Year of the New-Age - God Skalla
killed by Tanos. God Tanos killed by two knights of houses Luminaire and Pernus.
